Everyone loves a good caesar salad dressing, but did you know it's almost 80 calories per tablespoon, turning an otherwise healthy salad into a food disaster? This simple dressing offers a healthy alternative to the traditional caesar dressing. It can be prepared quickly and used as a sandwich spread, vegetable dip, or of course, on a salad!

Caesar Salad Dressing

INGREDIENTS

2 heaping tablespoons of non-fat yogurt
1/2 an avocado (not necessary if unavailable)
Olive oil (add as you like)
Flavored vinegar (add as you like)
Black Pepper (add as you like)
Wasabi or Green Tabasco (according to taste)

PREPARATION

AVOCADO VERSION: Cut up the avocado, then mash the avocado and other dressing ingredients in a separate bowl then add to the salad.

NON-AVOCADO VERSION: Don't add avocado and just add the other ingredients directly to a salad and mix.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

SALAD DRESSING: Because this dressing is somewhat thin, it'll taste a lot better if you cut up the salad into small pieces and mix it well.

SANDWICH SPREAD: Use like you would mustard or mayonnaise on a sandwich.

DIP: Put it in a bowl to make a great dip for your favorite fresh vegetables.

PROTEIN TOPPING: Goes great with roasted black pepper chicken or shrimp.
